Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy

A 25-year storage industry veteran, Matt Rutledge leads Seagate’s corporate strategy and development function, which is responsible for optimizing company strategy, interfacing with key markets, evaluating investment opportunities and driving company M&A to achieve Seagate’s vision.

Rutledge joined Seagate in the summer of 2015 to lead the Client hard drive business and products and managed multiple business segments within Seagate including Enterprise and SSD product lines. Prior to joining Seagate, Rutledge spent 20 years with Western Digital Corp. where he held various finance and business leadership positions. As a marketing leader, Rutledge pioneered the positioning of storage products in the industry through technical integration of ecosystem partners with product brands.

Rutledge holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.
